Victim stabbed multiple times, police say

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Daytona Beach police are searching for the men who they say beat up and stabbed a man at a Jamaican restaurant in Daytona Beach Friday afternoon.

Police said Adrian Rodriguez was at the restaurant on Mason Avenue with his girlfriend waiting on an order when three men walked into the restaurant, surrounded him and started beating him up. They then stabbed Rodriguez multiple times and took his wallet and cellphone.

Rodriguez suffered four stab wounds to the right arm, one to the thigh and one to the buttock, according to police. His injuries aren't life-threatening.

One culprit is described as a black man, 5 feet 10 inches tall with long dreads and wearing a black shirt. The second culprit is described as having a Mohawk hair cut and wearing a white tank top and jeans, according to police.

The men could be driving a burgundy mid 2000 Grand AM or Grand Prix and a silver Nissan Altima or Maxima missing a right rear hub cap with a possible tag number of T8078w, police said.

The investigation is ongoing and no clear motive has been established.
