Two Palm Bay police officers helped capture an almost-five-foot-long alligator Friday afternoon, police say.
The department took to Facebook with a picture of the cheeky creature, open-mouthed and held with a snare. Officers Reinier Gomez and Thomas Baker apprehended the gator as it meandered through a resident's yard, according to the post.
"Everyone can sleep soundly tonight knowing this guy is off the streets," the post said, according to News 6 partner Florida Today.
No information was immediately available on whether additional animal services were used.
