82-year-old pedestrian dies in Orange County crash

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. – An 82-year-old pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle while crossing a street Wednesday afternoon in Orange County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a 30-year-old woman was driving a 2017 four-door Honda west on Curry Ford Road near Arbor View Road at 5:40 p.m. when Dhirajlal Mohini, of Orlando, walked out from the median and into the direct path of her vehicle.

Mohini was taken to Florida Hospital East, where he died, according to officials.

The driver, who was not injured, was wearing her seat belt, the FHP said. The crash was not alcohol-related, according to the FHP.

Troopers are investigating the incident.
