"We need a cop right now at Europa Lounge at European Village. Someone just walked in with a gun and opened fire," another caller reported.

Flagler County deputies rushed to the call Saturday but the suspect, Daniel Allen Noble (pictured below) had already been apprehended by restaurant patrons before they arrived, an arrest report said.

The scene unfolded around around 11:25 p.m. Saturday at the Europa Lounge in the European Village area of Palm Coast. Noble, 37, entered the lounge dressed like Rambo with a rifle and two hunting style knives, FCSO Cmdr. Bob Weber said in a press release.

Aside from a drunken driving arrest eight years ago, Noble has no prior criminal history, according to authorities. Investigators are now trying to figure out why Noble would go to the bar armed and what he might have been planning.

Noble moved to Palm Coast from Indiana just a few months ago. According to his Facebook page, Noble once served in the Army at Fort Bragg in North Carolina.

Noble reportedly told the bar owner that he had just learned his father was dying, but his father told detectives that conversation never took place.

Weber said Noble's ultimate intentions are unclear, because two patrons "were able to grab the barrel of the rifle and point it downward, but not before one or two shots were fired into the ground without hitting anyone."

After Palm Coast residents Vassili Mironov, 28, and Roman Dubinsechi, 23, disarmed Noble, deputies said Noble grabbed one of the hunting knives and lashed out at the two men.

"The two men wrestled with Noble, who was then taken to the ground by patrons and rendered unconscious," Weber said. The patrons who helped disarm Noble sustained knife wounds but were not seriously injured.
