Angry driver shoots into woman's car in Port Orange, police say

Police search for man, dark-colored, older model pickup truck

PORT ORANGE, Fla. – Police are investigating after a woman reported that a driver who was upset with her shot into her vehicle Saturday night.

The Port Orange Police Department said the alleged shooter was traveling near the woman on Clyde Morris Boulevard and Taylor Road and was upset that her headlights were shining into his windows.

The victim told police the two were stopped at a traffic light when the man got out of his vehicle and approached her. She then drove off. She said he drove after her and as she turned onto Devon Street, she heard a pop.

Police said when the woman arrived at her destination, she realized her back window was shattered. Officers said they found a bullet hole and the bullet was recovered.

The vehicle the man was driving is described as a small, dark-colored, older model pickup truck and may have a rear sliding glass window with some type of sticker on it.

The man who allegedly shot at the woman is described as white, in his mid-30s with facial hair. He was wearing a white T-shirt and a hat.

Police said a passenger in the man's vehicle had a sleeve tattoo on the right arm, but it's unknown if it was a man or woman.
