Apopka parents arrested for giving teens alcohol at house party, deputies say

Duo charged with child neglect, drug possession, providing alcohol to minor

APOPKA, Fla. - An Apopka mom and her husband were arrested on suspicion of thworing a party and providing vodka to minors.

Kelli Krueger, 37, and her husband, Karlton Krueger, 29, were arrested on charges of child neglect, contributing to delinquency of a minor, having a prohibited open house party, possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Deputies said they responded to a report of a house party in Clarcona Resort last week and when they arrived they found marijuana smoke filling the house, a bottle of Svedka vodka, empty juice bottles, multiple shot glasses and drug paraphernalia.

Also in the home were several teenagers, one of whom was sleeping on the couch with vomit all over her face and clothing, officials said.  The teen was taken to Florida Hospital Apopka, according to the sheriff's report.

Deputies said a 6-year-old was also jumping on a bed next to a 14-year-old, according to the report, and a 2-year-old was watching TV while Kelli Krueger was asleep on the bed with prescription drugs on the kitchen counter and marijuana in her purse.

When deputies woke up Kelli Krueger, she said her son comes over about two times a month and she buys alcohol and allows he and his friends to party.

Kelli and Karlton Krueger were arrested and taken to Orange County jail on $1,400 bond.

The Department of Children and Families was notified and Kelli Krueger's children were released to their biological father and her sister.
