Arrest made in Apopka police car shooting

Police: Tyler Endlsey, 20, confessed to shooting

APOPKA, Fla. - Apopka police an arrest Tuesday in shooting of an Apopka police patrol car over the weekend.

Tyler L. Endsley, 20, was taken from 225 Dovehill Road after detectives received an anonymous tip.

According to investigators, the shooting happened around 4 a.m. Sunday at the 7-Eleven on East Semoran Boulevard.

When detectives found Endsley he turned over the shotgun and confessed to shooting the police car, police said. He told police he was high on Xanex and alcohol at the time of the shooting.

Endsley was taken to the Apopka Police Department. He is being charged with attempted armed robbery, felony criminal mischief, discharging a firearm in public and the use of a firearm during the commission of a felony.
