Pedestrian struck, killed in Brevard County

Man, 22, dead after being struck by car early Saturday

COCOA, Fla. – A 22-year-old man died after being hit by a car in Brevard County early Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said a vehicle was traveling on to the entrance ramp to southbound Interstate 95 from Port St. John Parkway. For unknown reasons, the pedestrian was either standing or walking on the entrance ramp and driver of vehicle did not see him.

The man was then struck and killed by the vehicle. 

The name of the man has not been released, pending next of kin.

FHP is investigating the accident.
