ORLANDO, Fla. - A missing pet iguana has been found in Lake Eola Heights.
The 2 and a-half foot long iguana, which lives on Concord near Hyer, was safely captured Friday.
Missing lizards are not something you hear about often, but recently a monitor lizard measuring 8 feet long was terrorizing residents in a suburban Miami neighborhood.
Luckily, the Florida Fish and Wildlife officers were able to capture the lizard Tuesday after it was first reported loose in August.
Owners must have cages to have lizards as pets. It's illegal to release non-native species in Florida.
