Raymond Frolander garnered international headlines after he was pummeled unconscious by family friend Jason Browning, who was not charged in the beating.

Browning, the alleged victim's father, called 911 after beating Frolander, who was found by Daytona Beach police motionless on the floor of the boy's home.  Frolander had several knots on his face and was bleeding from the mouth, and the beating was evident in his mug shot.

Frolander was arrested on charges of sex battery on a child under the age of 12.  He's being held on no bond.

The Browning family was at the arraignment, and the father of the boy didn't comment on Frolander's plea but talked about what life has been like for his family.

"Our family is ripped apart. My daughters don't even know how to hug or kiss their brother anymore," Browning said.

Frolander will have a pretrial hearing in September.  His trial was scheduled to begin in November.
