Tick tock, y'all, we have less than two weeks until Mothers Day. And no, this isn't a post about what you should get the moms in your life for their big day. But in case you need some tips, I find anything that allows Mama to sleep a bit more is always a big hit. In my world, extra snoozes trump sparkles any day.
And I'm sure I don't have to tell you, the nurturing peeps of the world are rock stars in so many ways, so here's a shout out to some of my favorite mom-invented, mom-approved products. I mean, what mother has time to actually invent things? Most days I consider it a victory if I don't have finger paint on my pants.
Check out these awesome products and let me know what you think!
1. Ciao Baby Chair:You know those cool stadium chairs you take to soccer games? This is like that, except it's for you tiny person! It's one piece and unfolds in seconds. No, really, it does. I tried it. It's lighter than a cat, weighing in at 8 pounds. The basic model retails under $70 and fits kids up to three years old. Where was this when my daughter was super small?
2. Zipaboo: This is another one I file under "Where was this when my daughter was an infant?" Zipaboo is a brilliant, patent-pending onesie with a zipper just around the leg/diaper area. So at 3 a.m., you don't have to fiddle with 749 snaps/buttons/minefields when you change your baby's diaper. For the 12th time. You'll find super cute prints, and the inventor, Erin Lang, tells me it's not only mom approved, but dads love it, too!
3. Drink Chia: So are you longing for a yummy drink low in sugar and weird things you can't pronounce? So was Orlando mom Chandra Davis. She stumbled upon chia seeds while training for a marathon and discovered they are the mac-daddy of health. She partnered with her doctor brother to create the drink. Don't be afraid of the floating seeds, really, you'll like it. Just "shake it, baby" as the bottle says. My three year old digs "cha cha water."
