ORLANDO, Fla. - Mother nature tried intervening again this week, but the football gods were having none of it!

After an hour rain delay, it was time to play ball and the game was as advertised, a true smash-mouth contest as Bishop Moore hosted the Sharks of Port Orange Atlantic in the high school game of the week.

Bishop Moore, two-time consecutive league champs, came into the match-up with a record of 2-1. The Sharks entered with a 2-1 record as well.

The game was back and forth throughout the first half. Both teams tried to establish their presence on the ground and in the air, but neither was successful. It was what some would call a "defensive first half."

The Sharks did an outstanding job in the first half of keeping standout senior running backs Tyler Floyd and Blake Tiralosi, of Bishop Moore, to minimum yards and short gains in the first half, and the game was 7-7 going into halftime.

Then, Bishop Moore responded with some thunder and lightning of their own to accompany what Mother Nature had provided in the first half.

It was the duo of Tiralosi and Floyd that scored three rushing TDs in the second half to give Bishop Moore the win. Tiralosi had 2 TDs and Floyd added with one of his own as Moore cruised to a 28-7 win.

With the win, Bishops Moore's Head Coach Matt Hedrick became the No. 1 winningest coach in school history with his 67th victory.
