BOCA RATON, Fla. - A day laborer is recovering head injuries after he was body slammed by a Boca Raton city employee during a lunchtime scuffle.

The Palm Beach Post reports the fight broke out Tuesday when Raul Reynoso, the day laborer, got into a city work truck to escape the rain. As he got into the truck, he moved Donell Allison Jr.'s lunch.

Witnesses told police Allison became enraged, pushed Reynoso and slammed the open truck door on his leg. He then punched him in the face, put him in a bear hug and slammed him face first into the sidewalk.

Reynoso has a fractured skull and orbital bone, brain hemorrhaging and lacerations. Allison remains jailed and has been placed on unpaid leave by Boca Raton. He faces aggravated battery charges.
