About 1:35 p.m., Bagley was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet Impala when he stopped at a stop sign at the intersection of U.S. 441 in Marion County, troopers said. He was heading west on CR 316 at the time.

A Largo man driving a Dodge Journey was going south on U.S. 441, approaching the intersection of CR 316, when Bagley drove into the path of the SUV, according to a news release distributed by the FHP.

The front of the Journey hit the right side of the Impala in the southbound outside lane, troopers said.

Bagley’s car landed in a grassy shoulder on the southwest corner of the intersection.

The Dodge Journey overturned once and then stopped on the same shoulder as the Impala, troopers said. The 47-year-old SUV driver was not hurt.

No further details are known.
