Cold weather shelters open across Central Florida as temperatures plunge

ORLANDO, Fla. – As temperatures across Central Florida dip into the 30s, shelters in the region are opening their doors to anyone who needs a warm place to sleep for the night.

While the shelters are open access, most do ask that anyone in need bring their own personal hygiene items as well as any medication and sleeping materials, such as pillows and blankets.

Below is a list, organized by county, of cold weather shelters. Please note that the list will be updated as more shelter openings are announced, but anyone who plans on seeking shelter should call ahead to verify the hours and availability of space.
