LONGWOOD, Fla. - Seminole County deputies have arrested two suspected bank robbers after they led them on a pursuit on westbound Interstate 4.

Deputies said the men-- Jared Hunt, 40, and Westley V. Lampkins, 38-- were armed with guns when they barged into the TD Bank on Charles R. Beall Boulevard, grabbed cash and fled in a car just after 1 p.m. They were located by several deputies and tracked into Seminole County.

Deputies said the duo eventually bailed from their vehicle and tried to escape on foot in the area of Markham Woods Road and State Road 434, but were caught by deputies. No shots were fired and no one was seriously injured during the robbery.

The first getaway vehicle, a Dodge Caravan, was found abandoned and still running behind a DeBary restaurant. It had been reported stolen out of Orange County the previous week.

Hunt and Lampkins are charged with armed robbery, with additional charges expected later.
