SUMMERFIELD, Fla. - Flames ripped through a Marion County condominium complex Sunday night, displacing several residents, officials said.

No one was injured in the fire, which was reported around 8:10 p.m. at the Loch Harbor Condos in the 11000 block of Southeast Sunset Harbor Road in Summerfield.

Flames and heavy smoke were pouring from the roof of the two-stroy building when firefighters arrived.

"Quick-thinking neighbors alerted those inside of adjacent condos to evacuate the structure," fire officials said on Facebook.

Eight residents were displaced from their homes, officials said.

Firefighters rescued a cat named Rico and returned the pet to his owner.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the Florida State Fire Marshal’s Office.
