ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A community grocery store was heavily damaged when flames broke out Saturday night, Orange County Fire Rescue personnel said.
Jeremy Bryant, whose grandmother owns the Winter Garden business at 470 West Story Road, told News 6 the devastation is a loss for the entire community.
Seventy-five percent of the building was in flames when fire crews arrived, officials said. Firefighters worked to knock down the fire.
The sign seen Sunday at the front of Bradley's Market was burned, most of the building was charred and the windows were blown out.
Officials were using shopping carts to hold crime scene tape up around the structure.
Bryant said his grandmother has owned the market for more than 50 years. He said she's devastated, but he believes she will move on.
Officials said the building was a 4,500-square-foot structure with an extension to homes.
Bryant said the three homes attached to the building were also burned.
No injuries were reported, officials said.
The fire marshal is investigating the cause of the fire.
