ORLANDO, Fla. – Orlando police are investigating after two women at the Venetian Place Condominiums were woken by an intruder while they were sleeping.
The women said the man was standing over them when they woke up in the middle of the night.
There are now at least eight known attacks possibly linked to the East Side intruder at several apartment complexes in Orlando, along Semoran Boulevard and Curry Ford Road.
When Local 6 showed the composite sketches of the East Side intruder to the latest victims, they said it was the same guy.
Yamelies Wilson says she was sleeping around 3:45 a.m. Saturday when her best friend woke up to a man standing in their room and breathing heavily. Wilson's best friend then woke her up.
"When I woke up, I was like, 'What?' And he saw that there was somebody else in the room and he ran out," said Wilson.
It appears the man broke in through a back window in Wilson's sister's room. His handprints were on the glass, but the pregnant 19-year-old was gone at the time.
"It freaks me out because he walked completely through my room. I don't know what he touched, what he didn't touch, but it was creepy because he didn't take anything," said Heryliss Ambert, Wilson's sister.
It's eerily similar to another case in July in which a pregnant 19-year-old awoke to a man dressed in black touching her back while standing over her bed.
In June, police say a woman awoke to the same man peering through her bedroom window. Police interviewed a possible suspect, but he was released due to a lack of evidence.
Also, on July 4 a man opened a sliding-glass door, crawled into bed and groped a woman while her husband slept just feet away on the couch.
"The fact that he's not robbing anything, like, it just makes you wonder what it is that he wants to do to the girls, or whoever it is that he's breaking into their house," said Wilson.
Due to a lot of condensation on Wilson's window, police say they were not able to get any fingerprints.
Orlando police first started investigating the East Side intruder in February 2012. This summer, police posted flyers in the neighborhood, but haven't been able to come up with an ID or make any arrests.
In the past, police have said they believe the East Side intruder lives in the area.
