LEESBURG, Fla. – A Lake County day care teacher was accused of child abuse after deputies say she pulled a chair out from underneath a student.
Belinda Greer is charged with child abuse in the incident, which was caught on surveillance cameras at the Children's House of Learning in Leesburg last week.
The video appears to show Greer walking over and pulling out the chair from underneath the 4-year-old boy. The boy fell to the floor and hit his head on the seat of the chair, according to deputies. Greer then returned to her seat and continued reading a book to the class.
Deputies said Greer admitted to pulling the chair but says he did not hit his head, even though it appears that way in the video.
It's not clear if Greer is still employed at Children's House of Learning.
