1 killed, 1 injured in stabbing at Kissimmee Days Inn hotel, deputies say

Injured man taken to nearby hospital, Osceola County deputies say

KISSIMMEE, Fla. – Osceola County sheriff's deputies are investigating an incident Tuesday morning that left one man dead and another injured at a hotel in Kissimmee.

Deputies said they received a call around 9:15 a.m. about a stabbing at the Days Inn hotel in the 2900 block of Polynesian Isle Boulevard.

Deputies found a man bleeding on the ground outside a hotel room, authorities said. He was taken to a nearby hospital.

Deputies said they found a man with multiple injuries inside the room. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Alexess Perez told News 6 that she was staying in a hotel room right above where the man was found dead.

"I woke up and I came out and saw a whole bunch of cop cars and everything was taped off. They wouldn't let us move our car," Perez said. "We couldn't get anything out of the room. They just said get dressed and get out."

The hotel told her they would give her family a new room, but her mom didn't feel comfortable staying, so they decided they're going to end their trip early and fly back to New York.

"We booked through Expedia and can't change hotels and we are supposed to be here for another week, but she doesn't want to stay here especially with the crime scene and everything going on... so we're leaving tonight," Perez said.
