ORLANDO, Fla. – An Orlando man was arrested less than two weeks ago in connection with an armed home invasion that took place last month, the Orange County Sheriff's Office said.

Deputies said Tevin Vickers, 23, was believed to be one of four people involved in the Sept. 21 invasion at a home on Spring Island Way, during which authorities said four men, who were each armed with a handgun, entered through a garage where the victims were and pointed the guns at them.

Three of the men had masks over their faces when they told the two victims, who were sitting in a vehicle inside the open garage when the suspects entered, to get on the ground, deputies said.

The victims told authorities that the men pistol-whipped them because they didn't get down fast enough, according to the Sheriff's Office.

One of the suspects stole money from one victim's wallet and another one stole the other victim's gun, deputies said.

Two of the suspects stayed in the garage with the guns pointed at the victims while the other two entered the home, according to the report. Deputies said one of the suspects immediately recognized someone inside the home and ran back out of it before all four men fled.

Surveillance video showed the suspects standing in the driveway of the home 20-30 minutes prior to the invasion, authorities said.

A witness told authorities he recognized Vickers as one of the men who went inside and pointed guns at people inside the home, the report said. One of the victims also identified Vickers as the suspect who stole money from his wallet, deputies said.

Vickers was arrested and charged with home invasion robbery with a firearm and mask, aggravated assault with a firearm and aggravated battery with a firearm while wearing a mask, according to the report.

Deputies did not immediately identify the other men accused of invading the home.
