POINCIANA, Fla. - A man was shot last week in a robbery attempt at a drive-through ATM in Osceola County, and deputies continue to search for the assailants, officials said.

The shooting was reported Nov. 15 at the Wells Fargo at 351 Cypress Parkway in Poinciana.

The victim said two men held him up at gunpoint after he pulled up to the ATM, according to the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said one of the culprits demanded that the man exit the vehicle. Instead, the victim stepped on the gas and one of the gunmen shot at him, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

The victim was struck in the arm but was able to get away and call for help, according to deputies.

The entire incident lasted 19 seconds.

"That's scary," an ATM customer told News 6. "Especially if you're in the car by yourself."

The two assailants were described by authorities only as black men in their 20s, with slim builds. One of them was wearing a camouflage hooded sweatshirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Osceola County Sheriff's Office at 407-348-2222 or Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS (8477).
