Deputies: Woman shot man in domestic dispute

Orange County deputies find woman at Avalon Park

TAFT, Fla. - A woman shot her boyfriend's brother Tuesday at an Orange County auto storage facility before being taken into custody in Avalon Park, according to deputies.

The shooting occurred around 11 a.m. in the 700 block of Thorpe Road near Taft.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, a man was working with his brother when the brother's girlfriend showed up and fired numerous gunshots, hitting the man in the arm.

The shooting victim's brother and his girlfriend fled in a car and was later stopped by deputies, the Sheriff's Office said.  The woman was taken into custody, deputies said.

Witnesses of the woman's arrest say they saw the woman running away from deputies.

"There's like five cops behind her with their guns out," said Shannon Snow, who was working at her Avalon Park office as the woman was arrested. "They pretty much just tackled her to the ground. It was intense."

No other details, including the motive for the shooting, have been released. The girlfriend is being questioned by deputies.

The shooting comes a day after another woman is accused of shooting and killing her boyfriend in Pine Hills.
