Orange County sheriff's deputy suffers minor injuries

ORLANDO, Fla. - Four people were taken to a hospital late Monday after an Orange County sheriff's deputy and a car carrying eight people crashed in Orlando.

The wreck happened around 11 p.m. in the 900 block of South Rio Grand Avenue near Orange Blossom Trail.

The deputy suffered minor injuries, but four of the eight people in the other vehicle were taken to a hospital, Orlando police said.  Their conditions were not released.

An investigation is ongoing to determine how the crash occurred.

No other details have been released.
