HARMONY, Fla. – A lost turtle is living to see another day, thanks to the help of two Osceola Sheriff's deputies.
As school was about to begin at Harmony Community School, two concerned citizens spotted a large turtle about to enter a busy roadway.

Worried the animal would be struck by a car, they asked Deputy Barton and Deputy Gorusch to help them move the turtle away from the road.
Barton initally tried to guide the turtle away from the road using a piece of wood, but when it did not move he picked the animal up and moved it toward a lake.
"Deputy Barton saves the day!!! #animallover #commUNITYstrong," the department wrote on Facebook.
