MELBOURNE, Fla. - Melbourne police officers today are investigating a road rage incident in which the victim's car was punched, reports Local 6 News partner Florida Today.

According to Sgt. Sheridan Shelley with the Melbourne Police Department, the driver of a black Nissan grew angry with the driver of a silver Honda.

Shelley said the Nissan's driver stopped the vehicle near the intersection of Dairy Road and Edgewood Drive. The driver then got out of his car and, as the silver Honda pulled away, the driver punched and dented the vehicle.

Police responded to the complaint at 8:18 a.m. and are still searching for the suspected driver.
