WINTER PARK, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol has now issued arrest warrants for a driver they say was involved in a crash at a Winter Park day care that killed one child and injured more than a dozen other people.

Troopers say Robert Corchado, 28, was behind the wheel of a Dodge Durango that hit another car near the KinderCare Learning Center at 4035 Goldenrod Road in Winter Park. The driver of the car then lost control and slammed into the building.
Troopers say Corchado left the scene, and his Durango was found abandoned at a home off Aloma Avenue.
Investigators now believe Corchado rented a black Mazda SUV with the Florida tag CHR-Q41. The Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles is asking anyone who sees the vehicle to call 407-737-2200.
Records show Corchado was arrested in 2013 on charges of careless driving, hit-and-run and leaving the scene of property damage. He is currently awaiting trial.

Arnold Palmer Hospital officials say a 4-year-old girl died in the crash. On Thursday morning, the hospital, said one other patient was in critical condition, three were in serious condition, one was listed in fair condition and two had been discharged.

Investigators say a total of 13 people were taken to the hospital. Two others were treated at the scene. Orange County Fire Rescue said 50 children were inside of the day care at the time of the crash.
A small memorial was held outside of the day care Wednesday night.
Local 6 was there as the car, appearing to be a Toyota Solara, was pulled out of the day care on Wednesday evening.

Some parents arrived at the daycare after hearing about the crash and were trying to learn the whereabouts of their children. Orange County Fire Rescue said the uninjured children were put in a safe place and daycare officials took roll call to reunite the children with their parents.
Orange County Mayor Teresa Jacobs called the crash "an absolute tragedy and disaster."

Jeezy Jenkins told Local 6 he was repairing the roof of the Marathon gas station next to the daycare when he heard screeching tires. He looked up and saw the crash, and a silver Dodge Durango speeding off.
He said he jumped off the roof to see if he could help. When he looked inside the daycare, he says he saw small children, seriously injured, lying on the ground.
"There was other ones that weren't moving at all, and the teachers were giving them CPR and stuff like that," he said.
Winter Park is a suburb of Orlando.
