Eastbound SR 408 reopens in Orange County because of crash

Driver airlifted to area hospital, troopers say

ORLANDO, Fla. - Eastbound State Road 408 has reopened after troopers say a car ran into the back of a box truck Tuesday morning.

Florida Highway Patrol said the driver of the car needed to be cut out of the car at the Conway Toll Plaza near mile marker 13. The driver was airlifted to an area hospital.

It's not clear what the driver's condition is.

The road was shut down for hours Tuesday afternoon.
