Even after death, Christina Grimmie's voice lives

Grimmie's family releases new song 'Invisible'

ORLANDO, Fla. – Even after her death, Christina Grimmie's voice lives on after her family posthumously released a new song by "The Voice" star called "Invisible" Thursday.

Grimmie was killed at the Plaza Live in Orlando on Bumby Street on June 10, just a day and half before the deadly Pulse massacre.

That Friday night, Orlando police said they had pictures and videos of her killer, Kevin James Loibil, 27, standing in the crowd before Grimmie took the stage.

After her performance, police said he shot Grimmie three times at a meet-and-greet, killing her right in front of her brother, Marcus Grimmie. He went on the nationally syndicated "Elvis Duran and The Morning Show" Thursday morning to discuss the reason behind the new song's release.

"We owe it to her," he told host Elvis Duran. "If we didn't have these songs, put my family on this mission or anything like that, we would be crippled. It'd be devastating, and it's very nice even on a not busy day to be able to listen to the songs and her beautiful voice. It's amazing."

He said Grimmie has about 50 to 60 songs that have never been heard and the family wants to use them, not only for their healing, but to help others. They plan on using the profits for The Christina Grimmie Foundation.

"We are just going to be emphasizing her voice and music in a way that help others and without getting into many details because we just want to make sure everything is perfect. So we, as a family, we are still determining the process what to have the foundation exactly about," he said.

"Invisible" will be available for download on Friday.
