DELTONA, Fla. - A couple and their adult son were able to safely escape a Deltona house fire early Wednesday.
The fire broke out around 1 a.m. at 2770 Sanger Terrace.
A neighbor told News 6 that he heard a popping sound and then saw the house go up in flames.
"It was a 'pop,' then it was orange," he said. "(It happened) in five seconds or less."
A propane tank next to the house was leaking but did not explode, firefighters said.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The Red Cross will assist the family.
