Family of China Wok shooting victim speaks out

Anna Sun shot, killed in robbery at Orlando restaurant

ORLANDO, Fla. - The family of the woman who was shot and killed at the China Wok restaurant in Orlando last week spoke out on Friday, asking for the public's help in finding the person responsible.

The family of 53-year-old Ying Sun, also known as Anna, said she was working at the China Wok on Silver Star Road to support her family in China and survived another armed robbery years ago.

"When I first heard the news it was like a big shock. I didn't know if it was true I didn't believe it," said Sun's sister, Nancy.

Nancy told Local 6 Sun would talked about what she would do if she was robbed and said she would hand over the money. But Nancy said the robber didn't give her a chance this time.

"The bad guy, the killer didn't give my sister any chance for her life. (They) just take her life in a second," Nancy said. "Without any thinking about her family, her son, her mother, her husband, these people are so evil."

Nancy said Sun was well-known in the community and many referred to her as "mommy." She said Sun has worked in restaurants for many years and survived another armed robbery at another restaurant years ago. They say the culprit shot in cold blood and believe he will kill again.

"We should speak out speak loud not only for Anna but it's for everybody for myself because we live here," Nancy said.
