Police: Fight at LimeLite led to fatal shooting

ORLANDO, Fla. - A person escorted from an Orlando nightclub after a fight shot and killed a man after waiting for him to leave, according to police.

Dino Cannon, 18, of Texas, was shot around 2:30 a.m. Friday outside LimeLite at 367 N. Orange Ave., Orlando police said.

According to police, Cannon and another person got into a fight, and the other person was removed from the club.  The person waited for Cannon and shot him in the parking lot, police said.

Cannon was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center and later died, police said. Cannon's Facebook page says he graduated from high school on June 3.

No arrests have been made, and Orlando police told Local 6 News that dozens of witnesses were not forthcoming with information about the shooting. The incident was not caught on camera.

Some residents say the potential for shooting incidents keep them from staying out late at night.

"I don't go too often because of situations like this," a woman said. "Because arguments can lead to something deadly."

Anyone with information is urged to call Crimeline at 800-423-TIPS.
