Family searches for missing woman

Carline Brumaire Jean missing since Feb. 9

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - A 6-year-old boy is waiting patiently for his mom to come home after she disappeared on Feb. 9, according to her family.

Carline Brumaire Jean clocked out of work at the Royal Pacific Hotel near Universal Orlando at 4:21 p.m., but never made it back home.

"Everybody (is) crying all the time, everybody (is) waiting for her," said Sonny Voltarre, Jean's brother-in-law. "Our eyes is on the street, everywhere, to see when she is going to come back."

It's an 8-mile drive from the hotel to Jean's home near Hiawassee Road and Sagewood Drive. Her family told Local 6 Jean is a new driver. The night she vanished was her third time driving alone since she moved to Central Florida from Haiti last year.

Sheriff's deputies flew over two lakes near the hotel.

Family and friends spent Tuesday night putting fliers on cars and gas station windows near Universal, hoping someone will come forward with information on where Jean might be.

Voltarre said Jean is a happy woman, who loved her son very much and would never leave him.

"She is a very funny person, she make everyone laugh," Voltarre said.

Jean was driving a red Toyota Camry with Florida tag number 158PYF.

A vigil for Jean will be held Wednesday night at 5715 Turkey Lake Road, near Discovery Prep Academy, in Orlando.

Anyone with any information on Jean's whereabouts is asked to contact Tina Carter with the Orange County Sheriff's Office at 407-254-7000.
