LAKE BUENA VISTA, Fla. - A person was reportedly pinned between two vehicles and airlifted in an Orange County crash on Wednesday afternoon, according to Florida Highway Patrol.

Troopers said the crash occurred on State Road 535 just before 5 p.m.

Troopers said car was disabled in the right southbound lane of Winter Garden. The 28-year-old driver was standing behind his car when he was hit and run over by pickup truck. He was pinned between the two vehicles.

He was taken to the hospital by trauma alert, where he remains in critical condition.

Local 6 news helicopter Sky 6 was above the crash scene as crews investigated and cleaned up the site.

Traffic was backed up as southbound SR 535 was closed at south Bronson Road.

The driver of the pickup truck was ticketed for careless driving. Troopers believe he fell asleep while driving.
