FHP: Man killed in Pine Hills, Indian Hill roads hit-and-run

One passenger also sustained serious injuries, according to police

ORLANDO, Fla. – One man died and another person was seriously injured after a hit-and-run on Pine Hills and Indian Hill roads Friday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

According to the accident report, the driver of a Ford F-150 was traveling north on Pine Hills Road when he tried to make a left turn onto westbound Indian Hill Road.

Brandon McCray, 34, was traveling southbound in a Nissan Altima on Pine Hills Road, north of Indian Hill Road, when the driver of the F-150 proceeded to make a left turn and entered the intersection, according to police.

The FHP said the driver of the truck failed to yield the right of way to McCray, causing the front right area of the truck to collide with the front left area of McCray's car.

McCray died, and his passenger was seriously injured.

The driver of the F-150 and his passenger fled the scene on foot, according to the report.

According to police, both the driver and passenger were described as Hispanic males wearing black jackets. One is believed to have been wearing a blue or teal shirt, and the other was wearing flannel shorts.

This crash is still under investigation.
