FHP: Woman, 38, dies after car strikes tree in Seminole County

Passenger seriously injured in crash, troopers say

SANFORD, Fla. – A Deltona woman was killed when her car struck a tree Saturday morning in Seminole County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said Haneefah Miller, 38, was heading north on Oak Drive at 4 a.m. when she drove off the road and hit a tree in a wooded area near Riverview Avenue.

Miller was pronounced dead at the scene, troopers said.

A 29-year-old passenger in Miller's car was seriously injured, the Highway Patrol said. He was taken to Central Florida Regional Hospital.

The Highway Patrol said the crash is still under investigation.
