Fight turns deadly in Deltona

Early morning fight kills 1, leaves 2 injured

DELTONA, Fla. - A gathering at a home in Deltona turned deadly early Saturday morning after a large fight broke out, according to the Volusia County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called around 4 a.m. Saturday to a home at 2971 Foxboro Circle after a fight broke out during a gathering.

Deputies said a 21-year-old man was stabbed in the torso.

The man, who is not being identified, was taken to Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City, where he was pronounced dead, deputies said.

According to witnesses, a fight broke out in the house which spilled out onto the driveway.

Deputies believe there were at least a dozen people involved in the fight and when deputies arrived at the house, they found the victim lying on the driveway bleeding.

Deputies said two other victims were injured. One person suffered a broken leg and the other suffered a shoulder injury.

Deputies are working to sort out the circumstances and determine what sparked the fight.

Deputies said they have not made any arrests.
