The two-alarm fire started around 5 a.m. at 2493 Hassonite Street near Amber Pointe Boulevard.

A woman who lived in the home where the fire broke out said she awakened early in the morning and noticed a strange smell but couldn't determine what was causing it.  She said she went to a store and when she returned, the home was ablaze.

It's believed that the fire started in a bedroom closet, but the cause of the blaze is under investigation.

Winds spread the flames to an adjacent building, and firefighters worked to extinguish the blaze.

No one was injured.

Video from Local 6 News helicopter Sky 6 showed several fire trucks and firefighters at the scene.
