ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. - Orange County Fire Rescue battled a fire that caused extensive damage to a home on Monday morning.

Fire Rescue said the fire was reported just before 7 a.m. at the home on Woodbridge Lane.

When crews arrived, flames were shooting out of the roof. No one was in the home and the crews started to battle the blaze, according to OCFR.

After putting out the fire, a dog was discovered in one of the rooms. It's not clear if the dog died from the fire or if it was already deceased.

The state fire marshal is investigating.
