Broward County deputies shot and killed Linda Sue Davis after she refused to drop the gun she was waving around.

TAMARAC, Fla. - A response to a 911 call in Tamarac resulted in the death of one woman and the discovery of another.

The sheriff's office reports that around 10:45 Wednesday morning a Broward County deputy was driving through a Tamarac neighborhood Wednesday morning when a resident flagged him down and told him about a woman waving a gun around.The woman, who has been identified as Linda Sue Davis, refused to drop the weapon after the deputy repeatedly asked her to. He then fired his gun at least once and killed her, Local 10 reports. 

Afterwards, authorities found another dead woman in front of a nearby home. Details about her death weren't immediately released.

Officials didn't identify the other dead woman.
