VIERA, Fla. – A man pleaded guilty Wednesday to trying to arrange a sex tourism trip for a person who turned out to be an undercover Brevard County Sheriff's agent, according to Local 6 News partner Florida Today.

Patrick R. Minga, 50, tried to facilitate a trip from Brevard County to Quito, Equador, so that the agent could have sex with minor girls, according to BCSO Maj. Tod Goodyear. He faces up to 30 years in federal prison.

Minga advertised on Craigslist that he could provide lodging, transportation, meals and unlimited access to females for a fee. BCSO Agent Mike Spadafora saw the ad and contacted Minga.

Over the course of several months, Minga tried to arrange for the agent to travel to Quito, where Minga said he could provide sex with minors as young as 13 and 14.

Goodyear said Minga was a U.S. citizen who had lived in Equador. On March 2, Minga traveled from Ecuador to Huntsville, Ala., where he was arrested by agents from BCSO and Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
