ORLANDO, Fla. – A Brevard County judge denied a request Tuesday to set bond for a woman who is one of two people accused of shooting sheriff's Deputy Barbara Pill in March.
The ruling means Andria Kerchner, 20, will be held in jail until her case is resolved. A trial date has not been set.

"The Court will not exercise its discretion to grant pretrial release under the circumstances of this case based on the evidence and testimony presented," Brevard Circuit Judge Morgan Reinman's order reads.
Reinman heard evidence following a request from Kerchner's attorney, Michael Bross, asking that his client be released from jail, saying Kerchner was not a danger to the community and not the immediate cause of Pill's death. Brandon Bradley, 22, is accused of shooting the deputy during a traffic stop on Parkway Drive.
Kerchner is charged with murder, robbery and burglary, and Reinman said that there is a "substantial probability" Kerchner committed the crimes.
Reinman denied the request based on statute that says a suspect can be held when charged with a "dangerous crime."
