Orion capsule to debut at Kennedy Space Center

Special event with Sen. Bill Nelson on Monday

KENNEDY SPACE CENTER, Fla. – It's the next-generation spacecraft that could eventually take American astronauts into orbit.

The Orion capsule, made by Lockheed Martin, is now in Central Florida, and on Monday morning, it'll be unveiled at the Kennedy Space Center for the first time.

Orion is a four-person spacecraft that Senator Bill Nelson says will eventually take astronauts to Mars.

NASA hopes to launch a test flight of Orion sometime in 2014.
