About 73 seconds into the launch, a capsule, equipped with 270 special sensors and parachutes, will detach and fall into the ocean. Once the capsule is recovered, it'll be brought back to Port Canaveral so researchers can study the data.

SpaceX wants to put astronauts in that capsule as soon as 2015.
