Florida woman designs fashionable gunwear

Woman creates fashion line for women gun enthusiasts

BOCA RATON, Fla. – A Florida woman attempts to break barriers when it comes to guns and the gun range.

Susan Kushlin, of Boca Raton, is working on changing what she calls the frumpy gun style, hoping to make women feel more comfortable when they go to a gun range.

She is selling T-shirts, camouflage gear and jackets that are fashionable for woman to wear to the range.

"I want them to be able to wear clothing and jewelry, carry a bag that's safe to shoot in, it's fashionable, and be able to wear it from the gun range to going out to dinner," Kushlin said.

She also has available jewelry made with empty golden shell casings and her most popular seller -- bulletproof purses.

Some of the purses come with a Kevlar-like casing, which adds another layer of protection.
