LADY LAKE, Fla. – The doctor who examined a 17-year-old girl who claimed she was kidnapped and raped in July 1949 told the FBI he could not testify she was raped, but the jury that convicted the accused never saw the document.
Families of three of the four men who were accused joined author Gary Corsair and the son of one of the defense lawyers in the case on Friday to ask that the convictions be expunged and the state and Lake County apologize for the case.
