LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating an accident that killed a Tavares man on Saturday.
Troopers said 66-year-old Earl Dudley was riding his bike south on Highway 19 when he approached Dead River Road.

Dudley started to cross the road into the path of 42-year-old Alan Gagne, who was driving a Ford F250 truck.
Troopers said Gagne then struck Dudley and he landed in the concrete median.
Troopers said Dudley was declared deceased and the investigation is ongoing.
No charges have been filed at this time.
