"it was foggy and it was real dark- you couldn't really see anything," he said.

The victims, Aubrianna Chatman, 15, and Titiana Chatman, 15, are sisters, and students at North Marion High School.

According to investigators, the girls were less than a block from the bus stop when the SUV hit them.

Both were taken to Shands Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Chevy Blazer that hit the girls, Mandy Fletcher, 17, told investigators she did not see the girls.

One of the victims got into some sort of fight with the driver, but according to witnesses, it seems that it seemed as if she was just taking her anger out on the driver, deputies said. No charges have been filed, according to MCSO.

The crash is still being investigated, and just how fast the driver was going has not been released, but Vance Fillingame livess off NW 55th Avenue and says drivers are always flying through the neighborhood.

"I've called the sheriff's department a number of times telling them that they could make a fortune in here stopping people that are speeding," he said.

Deputies stepped up their patrol on Thursday, something Fillingame says needs to continue.

"It just needs to be patrolled better- it's no secret anybody that lives here will tell you," he said.
