Mother ejected from car in crash, 6-month-old daughter in car seat not injured

TAMPA, Fla. - A mother was ejected from her car and killed in a crash early Monday morning but her 6-month-old daughter only received minor injuries.

The Florida Highway Patrol says the woman was thrown from her car after she lost control and it overturned several times.

In a press release, Sgt. Steve Gaskins says the child was properly positioned in the car seat. She was taken to Tampa General Hospital for evaluation.
